Hi,

Welcome to K9 :D

I think it could be a whippetxgreyhound??

Must admit tend to agree very whippet x greyhound looking to me :)

Looks very whippety, but I think I can see some lab too.

any chance of more pics side of body head and drint on with his mouth cloesed gooing of the pics so far i recon lab in there but just a bit and theres somthing else but carnt decied what it is

could be just me, but i can see a hint of gsd in there, but waaaaay back in the family tree, such as a great grandmother?

but who really cares, hes gorgeous

what ever he is ,i think he is gorgeous,he reminds me of a greyhound i had,(she was whippet/greyhound), sadly we lost her to cancer 3 years ago.

No idea - but he is lovely, what a happy smiling face he's got o:) , hope you have many happy years ahead with him! :luck:

I would say hes got whippet and saluki blood there. How tall is he? He does look very greyhoundy though. Welcome to the site. :)

I agree with the last post, some saluki in there. Good luck with him.

well i was thinking - greyhound with a bit of greyhound in him!

I think Greyhound x Lab, i don't think he looks whippety at all.

Thanks everyone for your help! Yes I agree with the lab - his coat is quite dense and not as thin as my last lurcher who incidently was 99% gh, 1% whippet. Something saluki-ish about the head I thought too so very interesting to hear your comments. He's got the "stockyness" of the lab I think. He's about 24" tall.

He is a very smiley dog! Can't wait to get him - off on hols end of next week so picking him up on my return at end of month!

I'll post more piccies once he's here!

Melanie

welcome to the site. Hope you have many happy years with him, ( does he have a name ? ) and please put more pictures up when you get back from your holiday and pick him up, :) :) :) :)

He is still young, yes?... did you say what he's standing at now?

Could be 3/4 grey..thats to say, 1/2 grey x with lurcher which also 1/2 grey, with added......................borzoi/whippet/saluki on the other third, then again could be lab/gsd/pointer perhaps the perfuse coat comes from the yorkie that pulled up a step to the bitch  At myself not you melw1  , for I'm certain I know less as time goes by (I've ended up with quite a few interesting lurchers in my time, mind they said nowt about their parentage :- " bless em' for it  for all they did was listen and wag their approval  Perhaps the wag was acceptance of acknowledging me as a b*stard too  )

Even seen folk x dogs from lines of lurchers known...with the gene pool throwing different types in the litter as they developed, so I'm none the wiser to be honest.

Not to worry, brilliant that he's caught your eye and heart, please let us know how he gets on ;) ...What name have you chosen?

Sincerely

Sheena

He is lovely   , well done on getting a rescue  . Looking forward to lots more pics when you get home - happy hols!!

We think he's between 4-6 years old. Off to the vets this week for the snip and teeth cleaning so maybe they will know more re age. He's about 24-26" high - not measured him but he's about the same as my old lurcher.

Re names: Boris seems the most likely, though if my 6 year old gets her way it's Zebedee!

Thanks for all your ideas on his parentage!

Melanie
