In my first vet nursing job, I was totally in love with a gorgeous Borzoi named Mischa who I used to bath once a month :huggles: - I could hardly bear to let him go every time I had finished :b - sadly his owner used to take him around London in an open top car, and one day he saw another dog, jumped out of the car and into the path of another, and was killed I'll never forget him :huggles:

Do any of your Borzois do that thing when they look as though they are smiling? I had two Borzois in late 60's early 70's, Guy was the dog and Bella the bitch. If I can sort out the scanner I'll see if I can put a picture on. Guy was black and white and Bella was red and white. Your dogs are beautiful.

gosh - youve just reminded me - sadly i had to return a young borzoi bitch to her breeder earlier this year which broke my heart but she just would not stop escaping and running the fields - i ran the risk of upsetting farmers who did not understand that she was merely a free spirit and had to have the wind in her hair all the time - i have 6 foot high fences so you can imagine what an athlete she was - she was the smiler and so very pretty.

i miss her and hope wherever she is now she is happy and as much loved

as when she was with us here.

Many years ago I used to work with one of the top producers of show ponies in the country and they had a white and red borzio bitch called Fidget as she never kept still. She was a bit of a free spirit .She used to come with us when we were exercisibg the ponies in the nearby woods .She'd suddenly appear from nowhere and I'm sure she could talk as the boss always knew when we had been jumping the ponies over fallen trees. Which we were not allowed to do
