I have been along to the venue on Sunday, which was a nice sunny day. The rest of the committee had already been to the venue whilst at our November Show last year.
The French Bull Dog Club had a show there so it gave me the chance to get some ideas for layout to take back to our committee meeting, which was also on Sunday.
For those of you that have not been to the venue before, there is a lot of ground
for parking and taking your dogs for walks,as there was at Lightwater.
The caterer there offers a wide selection of foods from Bacon rolls, fresh home made bagettes, with lots of different fillings, and cooked food. sausages, burgers and chips etc. There is also teas and coffees and juice drinks for sale. This is all done from the bar area which is in the main showing hall.
There is a large conservatory area with lots of windows which can be opened if it is a warm day (please God). This will be used for the cages and dog beds, as they will not be allowed in the main showing hall, due to health and safety, kc rules, and space. Exhibitors will be able to see clearly what is going on in the hall as there are windows and large french doors into the main hall.
I have been asked by the committee to remind all exhibitors and spectators that
ONLY ENTERED dogs are allowed within the venue (thats those entered for showing and also not for competition). Please ensure that no animals are taken within the venue which are not entered, as we do not want to spoil peoples day by asking them to be removed.
Finally, the entry is I believe 214 Whippets making 240 entries. Judging starts
at 10AM for Bitches and 11AM for dogs as usual.
We look forward to seeing you all at this new venue to us, and hope we can do our best to make it a good day for you all.
If I can answer any other questions you might have please either PM or ask away on this forum, I will do my best to answer you.
Regards
Pat
