My neighbour recently acquired a gorgeous blue brindle whippet puppy, now aged about 14-16 weeks.  (They also have a Working Cocker puppy of the same age).
Since he had her she has had problems being sick. She seems well, is very lively and is eating OK, but does look thin for a puppy of her age. When he first had her she had a bit of a chest infection and was on anti-biotics, and the sickness seemed to stop then, but started again when the anti-biotics were finished.
She has been X-Rayed and the vet found nothing obvious. There doesn't seem to be a particular pattern to it - she might be sick soon after eating or go for hours after eating and is then sick. :x
The vet has suggested referral to Cambridge Vet Hospital to investigate, but he is obviously aware that this will be very expensive. :- " The vet quoted £1500 for a referral. :- " I'm not sure how the vet arrived at this figure, since he doesn't yet know what the problem is or what would be needed to resolve it (assuming it can be resolved).
I wondered if anyone has any ideas as to what this could be. I think he is going to get a second opinion from another vet before he decides what to do.
