I am so sorry folks.Should have rememberes that i put a post on here about Owens illness. He was kept in quarinteen, for 5 days, and his temp rose to 41,before things started on an uphill climb again. He is now at home, but a hell of a lot lighter, than he was.God does answer prayers i believe, and he answered them his way.By pullin wee Owen thru this.Unfortunately, some of the rest of the family went down with it.Including his mum n dad.Older brother, granny, and myself and Kirsty.Fortunately for Kirsty and myself. We are now the better for it,after getting TAMIFLU capsules, and in good time.Had a couple of realy bad days there though.Which is why i havent been on much.Dont matter bout me tho,as long as the wee man pulled through.Still feel like i was the football,in a cup final though, and kicked around for an hour or so.But.Everythings good now.So thankyou everyone, for youre concerns, wishes and prayers, for the wee man.Very much appreciated by all of us.was wondering how this little lad is....anybody know ??

This is so sad about these 3 children Billy pleased your wee nephew is on the mend :thumbsup:There is a lot of this flu in the area where we live.So much so.That talks are taking place, and decissions being taken.Whether or not,to close the primary schools. The 3 wee girls that died. All came from the same special needs shcool.25 miles away.Thats half an hours drive,at most.Prayers for these families would be much appreciated.Wonder would big mouth, have come out the woodwork.Had we lost Owen. But then people like that just dont care anyhow. As ive had a pm,regarding the whoever it might be.Very interesting,i must say.Maybe they remember a statement i made recently. What goes round.Comes round.
that is so sad ,glad your nephew is on the mend ,my son had it when swine flu was new ,not a pleasant expirenceLatest death was a wee boy today. We cant understand how owen survived this.An 8 month old child, should have no defences going for him,at all.But for the grace of god.He wouldnt be here today. The fear now though. Is to what it has left behind it.Hopefully,nothing.Just heard on the news today, that there are over 700 new cases being comfirmed over here.Every single day. This is scarey.Very scarey.
Hope he has recovered fully, and there are no after effects. This is the fear thats left with us.As the unknown facts about long term stuff.Hasnt even been brought to the fore yet.Alannah just got her letter today. To go and have her swine flu vaccination. As she is on the high risk list.Owing to her being diabetic. There are side effects with the vaccination. But not near as bad,as what could happen,if she was to come down with it.She would be in very serious trouble indeed. As even the cold.Sends her blood sugars into the danger zone. Her bloods were 27.6 tonight, before bed,and thats with nothing ailing her. They should be 6/7.So its a couple of getting up times tonight again. As i have to keep an eye on her all night.(again)that is so sad ,glad your nephew is on the mend ,my son had it when swine flu was new ,not a pleasant expirenceLatest death was a wee boy today. This is scarey.Very scarey.
you have the same problem if it is to low you hypo if it is to lowI've avoided posting here until now but have to agree with Tony ... I couldn't believe it either ... then I decided that I didn't believe it if the poster is talking mmols ... blood glucose of 27.6 mmol would be close to lethal *
Annie (who has only posted now because this is an open forum and she would hate some unsuspecting guest to assume that it's ok to do nothing more than "keep an eye" when blood glucose is that high).
*27.6 mgdl on the other hand is so low as to not be worth a mention
