After a short but agressive illness we had to part with our old Champion

Nevedith Utterley Uppacrust at Dunaruna, (Glen) aged 11yrs.

As you can understand this has been a difficult few days for Roy (Dad) as Glen was his best mate and shadow.

Glen leaves us with much to be proud of as he proved to be an excellent showman, who would show for anyone, still proving his soundness and breed type winning RCC in veteran, along with many quality offspring shown today both here in the UK and overseas.

At home he was an absolute Gent in many ways and had the patients of a saint.

Glen came our way by means of theft! as Nev would tell anyone, seeing him as a Pup Dad said he needed some sea air (as we live on the coast) and put him in the car and the Newtons never got him back. So I would like to thank Nev & Edith for letting us have him.

R.I.P old Lad, happy hunting.

Mark and Roy my heart goes out to you both losing Glen. I well remember the sad events that led up to your getting him but bigosh, isn't it wonderful you had him, if only for those eleven years. We had a litter out of his grandson, Cdn.Ch. N. Hfa Hanky Panky who is owned by our American colleague Jalynn Almond -- a litter we joyfully named after North American burlesques queens (and kings). Our girl, and Glen's great-granddaughter here in Canada is a beautiful mostly white bitch with spunk and spirit whom we registered as Avalonia Chesty Morgan. I had the privilege of interviewing the real Chesty Morgan when I was a cub reporter and I can confirm she really lived up to her name! Elsewhere, Glen has another pointed ggranddaughter in A. Gypsy Rose Lee, and a flyball team member in A. Blaze Starr. So Glen lives in surely, through those and all the other dogs he produced and their children.

All this said, I am afraid we too join you in awful news as yesterday we lost my dearly loved Cdn.Ch. Nevedith Wotta Wispa (Eng.Aust.NZ Ch. Nevedith Rare Rogue x Nevedith Inter Lace) at just 10 years of age. This time last week Wispa was out in the yard bossing around the young ones as pack leader of our girls. On Tuesday she fell ill, we brought her in to the vet on Wednesday and she passed away on Jan. 31st. Our vet tells us she had a tumor or tumors on her kidney and liver which led to sudden organ failure.

I have been in tears more times in the past 24 hours than I have been in years... they start up suddenly and I catch myself and stop until they come again. I really don't think it is ever possible to learn to easily accept that life can or should end so suddenly and at such a relatively young age as it did for your Glen, and our Wispa. The only consolation is that they live on in others, and we happily own three of Wispa's five champion children from her two litters with us.

God speed Glen, and Wotta Wispa.
