Hi to K9. I am a new member and decided to register as I saw a couple of posts from Citycroft Whippets (including the fab photo of mum Ruby with Aunty Holly and baby Alfie) and I want to shout from the roof tops that I am also lucky enough to be having one of Ruby's puppies  . We are seeing them on Saturday for the first time and I just cannot wait. We being me, husband and two daughters and our lovely rescue girlies, Tilly, three legged, bomb proof whippy cross and Pip, unknown parentage but whippy like and very beautiful. Having been brought up with black labs as working gun dogs, I couldn't have imagined having any other dog but with the advent of Tilly (not even a full whippet), she has completely sold me on them. I have searched for a rescue whippet to join my two but without any luck :( and had visited Citycroft's web site and liked their small kennel setup. When I saw Ruby was expecting, I set about persuading my husband which took about 5 minutes after I showed him a pic of Ruby and the rest, as they say, is history. Will post photos of Tilly and Pip when I sus out how to do it!

Hi and welcome to K9. I presume you are getting a puppy and it sounds about the time we will be collecting our little girl - second weekend of May. Any photos yet? What are you having, boy or girl, what colour, name etc. I'm not nosey (well I am) but am very excited. Not only is this our first full whippet but it is our first puppy for years as we've got rescues who have all been older, 10 months and upwards.

Hi and thanks to everyone who replied to my first post. The whole family went down on Saturday and met clever mum, Ruby and her lovely babies together with Rachel and Jo's other whippets who were beautiful. Aunty Holly who licked and nuzzled the babies as though they were her own, lovely boy Frankie who was very good, gorgeous Diego who I fell for and, of course, mum Ruby who is of course the star of the moment. She looked a little worried that these very strange people were sitting on the floor draped with her babies and could possibly make off with one or all of them! Needless to say the puppies are stunning, lovely, healthy girls and boys with that gorgeous puppy smell that I'd forgotten about. Anyway not too long to go and hopefully by the time our little girl comes home, I'll have sussed out the photobucket and can show you all our new family member.

Lovely to meet you and your family and we are so pleased that you will be providing such a lovely home for one of our pups. Now all myself and Rach have to do is agree on which one we're keeping! :)
