Hi everybody,

Will pick up whippet puppy next week and any advice would be very much welcome.

Thinking about going to the Brentwood, Essex dog show tomorrow to meet whippets owners, anybody going?

Thanks Julie, hope I won't need too much luck... Went to see the pup (sorry no name yet!) with my daughter. She doesn't know that he will be ours yet but was very excited about seing him.

Will probably need lots of advice on training etc... :D

oh dont ask me about training

my pups are 10 weeks old and have taken over the house, never do anything they are told  get me up at 6am every morning  and are little   all day long.

but they are very

what colour is your puppy?

and yes we all want to see pictures

Well, I think that you call it sable or fawn with black nose, ears and tail. His dad was a cruft winner this year (sorry can't remember his name), so great potential. Will post pictures as soon as he's home with us. One more week to wait...! Still have to find a name. I really like Totty but everybody think that an Essex boy can't possibly carry that name!! The breeder called him Super Simon on his papers, after a racing horse bearing the same colours...

All the very best of luck with your new puppy. :luck: We will need lots of pics please!

Welcome to K9... I've been here since November, and have found this a great wealth of knowledge..... Post some pics as soon as you can...

Our first whippet Samantha was an angel, never chewed on anything, never dirtied the house, and never barked.... Then we found Chloe who made me really understand all whippets are different.... If they were boys, they'd be more approprietly call Cain and Able..... Chloe is hell on wheels, never finding a shoe she didn't like, a pillow that didn't taste good.. You get the idea.... Well with a lot of work, searching this forum and two others, we've come a long way... Hopefully you find this place as helpful as we have..
