OK cant resist any more seen so many pics of puppies.. I think i need one.

the big problem is how to convince OH that its a good idea. i think that it would be good for Zeb to have a running buddy, and someone to play with and also i friend.

As he only plays with lab and collies in the park. i know that he would love one to play with as when his on his own he doesn't have much fun but with another dog his playing and fill of beans.

SOO HOW DO I GET HIM TO SAY YES!!!!!

Has he got a birthday or something coming up..............could just say its a gift

Or say the tooth fairy left it, or someone dumped it.......in your house

Just make him look at all the puppy photos posted until he gives in. They are tempting me!

beg for months, til he gets fed up and gives in lol :- "

Sharron, you will need to attend one of my training courses, I'll be holding another one later in the year,  It's just a case of wearing them down. Good Luck

Jenny (got to go now and make him some sandwiches to watch Match of the Day with )

first pester, then use a little reverse phsycology, then finally make it sound like its his idea! Thats what we did to our parents (although there were 3 of us so it was relentless lol) :b

What you've said here is a good place to start, keep dropping hints at how lonely it must be for one whippy :- " and show him lots of pics of whips cuddled up and playing together, hopefully eventually he'll feel that sorry for Zeb with only human company it will be his idea to get another

Luckily I dont have that trouble me and OH have to talk each other out of getting more (w00t)

Give him one for his birthday. =]

Jade xx Good Luck xx

It seams that he may be softning. He just said to me that when we get a nother dog he was worried about the damage that it may cause.....does this sound like a man softning a little (thanks to the help of liz's pups)

Hi Sharron,

You will have to show him the photos Alison (Doris) took of them tonight- she got HUNDREDS of lovely pics

Or better still, he will have to come round and see them with you!

i think i will just have to get one and not tell him until its in the front room, with zeb :- "

Yove just got to make them think its their idea...

I mean what would he think if say you said you were getting another dog....maybe a breed hes not that keen on.......dont want to offend anyone by suggesting another breed......but a whippet sounds just perfect. :huggles:

To be honest it really was my OH's idea to have Archie....I was a little dubious at the idea of having three...but he talked me into it... :)) honest...

Yep, that's exactly what I did ....

I just talked about Rocky needing a friend again, he is perfect on his own, but wanted him to have a play mate and another dog for him to cuddle upto :huggles: and have company when we go on long walks    It took me a few months to get my OH to warm to this, and in the end I said its your decision - then when he went to Yorkshire on business he surprised me with Bailey, I found out an hour before he arrived home in Gatwick - long old journey!! (although I had pointed out to him that this would be the pup I would wish for!!!   ) Happy ending :D

Keep working on your OH - it will pay off I am sure  Good luck :luck:
