Thanks to Andrew, Alison and the team of racers at Old Hall for putting on a lovely open. I'm shattered and don't know if I'll be able to walk tomorrow that bank is a killer, though I didn't have to go all the way to the traps.

Well done to all the lure runners and to the ever helpful Kielan (sp?) he just never stops working.

Hugs to all the dogs who gave me so much pleasure watching them race.

It was so nice to be back open racing.

(ps Tony I shall be thinking of you on Thursday)

a big thanks to andrew for putting on such a great open today, the racing was top of the league with such talent on show and the dogs who won had to be on their top form,31 in one weight group says it all about the top quality on show welldone again everyone who turned out to support such a great cause our brave troops and thanks again andrew

I'll add my post to this thread too

I agree Graham, it was a brilliant day. The rain stayed away, so that was a bonus. I even have a bit of sunburn on my cheeks!

Well done and thank you to Old Hall WRC, and Andrew and Alison Ingley and their families for such a well organised and well run day. The open was run in aid of "Help for Heros", and I hear a good sum was made.

There was a great atmosphere, and the camaraderie at the end when people were all helping each other to get the vehicles off safely, and with as little damage to the ground as possible, was brilliant

Looking forward to seeing all our chums again at the Nationals next week, with a great entry, it should be a good day. I hear the weather from Wednesday is going to be good, so don't forget your sunscreen :teehee:

We also had a great day today well done Andrew ,Alison and old hall for making us so welcome

and what a good cause we raced for hope we did well

OOOO YES AJ would like to thank lotty for his after racing treat :- :- :-

See you all Next week

What a cracking good day! The company was great, the weather held out, and my dogs did well too. All that and we raised money for an excellent cause too.

Don't think my legs were bothered by the bank but can't say the same for my back, pushing the peppermint van out of the mud!

Well done to all the finalists but special mentions for Vince and Julia's Teddie (Maginot Line) who ran his socks off, Spellbinder running a blinder on his first open, and Fleur for getting her trapping together at last. Therewere so many memorable performances, too many to note all.

Special good luck to Andy Eaton following his fall. I hope his first few steps today weren't too painful, and that he doesn't end up hating all physiotherapists!

What a great day! Top class racing, a fantastic atmosphere and a generous helping of Derbyshire mud for us all to take back home with us! :)

Thanks to Andrew, Alison and family who worked so hard to make it all possible, to Keelan on the lure who, along with Andrew probably covered more distance throughout the day than any of the dogs running and of course to Old Hall and its members for all their help and good humour.

Well Done to all the dogs who made it to the finals, - they certainly earned their places.

Rob has taken over 200 photos some of which we will try to post over the next few days when we have sorted through them, - believe it or not he even got a bit of a suntan!! 8)

:)) A big thankyou to Andrew , Alison & all the Old Hall members who worked so hard all day. :))

It was lovely to see all good friends having a great day to start of the racing calendar.

Yes l think we all brought home a fair amount of Derbyshire mud and the washing machines are no doubt all going non stop today.

:)) Thankyou again and we look forward to seeing you all next Sunday at the Nationals :))

 Thankyou to everyone who came to the Old Hall yesterday, judging from the lovely comments on this thread everyone enjoyed the day! We would like to thank all our helpers, especially Keelan for running the lure, Rob and Kay for organising the trophies for us, and all the line judges today.

A big thankyou also to Barbara, Dave and Donna and Geoff for there help too.

We made a grand total of £407 for the Help for Heroes charity. So again a big thankyou for all those who attended, gave sponsorship and bought raffle tickets, the raffle alone made £86, thanks to my Mum ;)

We hope to host other events in the future as the Pedigree section of the club is still growing.
