8) All you wonderful racing folkies with all your wonderful racing whippies must take fantastic racing photographs??? :- "

As some of you know I'm an animal artist and what I'm looking for now is clear close-up photos of your dogs in action  I can't just use any old photo because of copyright laws - it has to be one where the photographer is happy for it to be used.

I don't race my own bunch so I thought I'd throw this 'challenge' open to you brilliant, talented, gems and your superstars who do race

:p I've got exhibitions coming up in August and September (Aberdeenshire if you're interested) and should be doing a print-run (cards and pics) too this year so 'your dog' could be famous' :huggles: .................well, at least here in the North East of Scotland.......

I have some great action racing photos of my dogs and have e-mailed them to Hannah hoping she can put them on for me :- "

Sorry Hannah -hope you don't mind :D

Jacquie :p

Peter Scott (Scotty on here) is your man!

He takes some fab racing pictures - have a look on the non ped section at some of his shots.

you can also try judy she take s some great photos

Thanks dave but i don't think I'm anywhere as good as Peter. He has taken some really cracking shots.

Here is on what I took earlier that I quite like. It's Hannah & Chris's Miya and Darc & Rob's Tyler.

Hi, these aren't of ours (difficult to take your own when one of you is at trap end and the other waiting with lead at other). My husband was very pleased with this one, less so when it got 3rd prize (out of 3...) in the sports photography category in our village show; winning one was of stationary man fishing, taken in very dull light

this one's a bit impressionistic (i.e. blurry  ) but nice dramatic angle and composition.

On the scrounge myself - do you know the cheapest source for card printing for artists? Have asked locally but fellow artists are a bit cagey about their sources for some reason. I've used Ranelagh (sic) before, wondered if there's anyone cheaper? (I want to do a series of cards for the Runner Duck Assoc for next Christmas and margins are very tight!)

Great shot!

It's great to see more action shots at last, the more you take the better chance one will turn out brill, as Vicky has said in this post I have posted lots of pics in the non ped section, all you need to do is back scroll in the pages over the last year and you will find plenty, they might be non peds but when they are racing they all look the same.

I'll take my camera out on Sunday Fiona......Probably end up a lot of crappy blurred mud and grass, but I'll do me best hunX

Hi Fiona, It would be fantastic for someone to paint your dog in action & i wish i had a really good action shot :( Alas all ive got is a geared up for action shot. Me thinks this is not what you had in mind

Thanks for all your responses folks - they're very helpful. Some of the shots are absolutely beautiful.

It's so great to see them using their bodies as they were designed!
