I guess whippet racing is like any other 'sport' nowadays. I've seen the kids playing football on Sunday mornings, and the behavior of the coaches, parents etc. is disgusting. Abusive language, threatening and the continual cheating...I'm sure it wasn't like that when I played, in fact I know it wasn't...
Whippet racing is a good sport, and I've had one or two issues in the past :- " However, peoples reactions on here, in particular have left me flabbergasted. Yet, generally on the track it does seem to be better.
The biggest problem today is cost, I'm shocked there is still many that can afford to travel to so many events, but much less so with the people that can't. Like everything at the moment it seems we're getting less time to spend on our leisure, and less funds to do it with...
