It's a sad day for Paula & Myself, Yesterday we had to take the decission due to her fading health to let Rose (Parkstone Sweet Harmony) go.
She was the 1st whippet we ever bred and She always gave us 100% in what ever she did whether it was racing, working, lure coursing or showing.

She lives on with us in her Children, Grandchildren & Great Grandchildren.

She leaves a very big hole in our hearts.

Hello there Mark and Paula, ever so sorry to be reading this, but at least im sure she had a good life with you

keith.

Thanks for all the kind words, it's been a hard day for us all.

But theres a slight twist to the tail.

We took Rose this morning and I paid my vet upfront as I knew I wouldnt feel like waiting around to pay afterwards but after putting her to sleep my vet handed me something useing a closed hand, he gave me some of his fee back and told me to "take Paula out for her lunch and a drink" so even after life Rose was still supplying us with food as she had always done (Rabbits ect)

I knew we had done the right thing for her when my vet started to inject her she looked up at me for a second then lay her head against my chest till she drooped off to sleep, she's now resting next to her mum in our back garden.

so sorry to hear of your loss :( :(

brought a tear to my eye...especially about the vet giving you some money back to take Paula out , like it was Rose giving you a last gift as you say.
