At last, OH and I managed a week away - our first this year. It's been a hectic time with moving etc, but at last we made it. Here's some piccies of the whippets on various Devon beaches

The girls had such a great time chasing each other - what freedom. And not a deer in sight to tempt Josie into self-harm :- "

gorguse pics looks like the dogs enjoyed themselves

... and just one of the inside of our holiday cottage. It was absolutely brilliant! Very remote, but furnished and prepared to such a high standard. Just what we needed.

where about in Devon Helen?
We actually stayed near Okehampton - about as far from the beaches as you can get in Devon! But we drove one day to Bude and another day to Saunton Sands and Croyde. All new beaches for me (OH had been before) and I thought they were lovely. Saunton was most impressive. All the dunes reminded me of St Aidan's dunes up near Bamburgh in Northumberland (my favouritest beach in the whole WORLD).

Here's Saunton from the cliff road - no whippets in sight, sadly :- "

Glad you got chance to get away Helen, lovely pics, those beaches looks fantastic, just right for Josie and Lola to have a good run around on

My idea of heaven too - lots of open space and NO DEER.

Josie looks 100% again thank goodness.

Glad to see Josie back in action and enjoying herself so much.

 Lovely pictures - we were down in North Cornwall last week - what a shame we didn't meet, but have been to Croyde and Saunton in the past many times - its really gorgeous down there and the dogs absolutely love it on the beach, don't they? Many years ago went riding with a friend along Woolacombe Beach through all those sand dunes and into the sea - absolutely exhilarating.

My OH took some pics of Zephyr on the beach at Rock and Polzeath, but I don't know if any of them came out yet - somehow I think there would be an awful lot of pics of sand and sea but very few ones of dog he was zooming around at such a speed! Your pics are great though

Thanks for sharing, we don't see enough photos of Lola and Josie (small hint :- " )

I love seeing K9 members' holiday snaps. :b

Nice photos  They take me back to my hols in Pembrokeshire this year. :huggles:

Beaches are fab places for free running the dogs aren't they, especially out of season. Your cottage looks lovely....we've hired some fabulous ones recently too, all dog friendly. I've gone right off camping now :- "

Nice to see Josie and Lola.

Nice pics Helen - goodness, hasn't Lola grown? It must be time for another Bristol 'walkies' - any ideas for a venue near you?

Fly sends his love to Claudia, by the way!
