Here's my poorly boy today.He had a bath to freshen him up a bit.

He's still feeling rough but he has been following me around some of the time which is more normal....however he still struggles to stay awake and he can only walk for about fifteen minutes before he starts stumbling and falling over his feet

having a cuddle before his bath.normally he wouldn't cuddle like this.

i took this opportunity to go upstairs and strip our bed.....as i returned with clean bedding to remake the bed i found a damp beagle already sleeping there. :wub:

i was mean and i made him move but only because i wanted to take him back downstairs to lie by the fire. he can't maintain his body temperature properly and he was shivering on my bed.

In your other post you mentioned his liver function, I don't know how you feel about natural medicine but Milk Thistle is very good for maintaining a healthy liver. (very handy after a heavy night out :- " )

Obviously you'd have to consult your vet but I don't think it could do him any harm.

Thanks for that,i'll ask the vet....Parker has to go back Wednesday for a retest on his blood and a blood smear and another sample has to be sent to the lab as well.

He is still not himself at all but a bit brighter than he was......we still have that sinking feeling we may be at the beginning of the end with him....i truly hope not but we have to try to face the prospect

Hope Parker will soon be well again. He looks gorgeous in the pictures. I grew up with a Bassett Hound so have a soft spot for bassetts and beagles.
