I don't often post on here, so I hope you don't think I'm been cheeky for doing this. I also thought this was the best section to get a response.
Has anyone got any rabbit that I could buy (at a reasonable price). My usual supplier can't get me any until the new year and I'm desperate, I usually pay £1.99 per rabbit. I live in Leeds and I'm willing to trave a reasonable distance to pick them up.

My reason for asking is, one of my lurchers is allergic to every source of protein you can think of, all cereals and most fruits and veggies and the only thing she can eat without reacting is rabbit.
Why dont you get a couple of ferrets and start getting your own rabbit then you will not be short of it,hunting season.

Alternatley get in touch with a ferreting website, there maybe someone near to you who can help.

Lurchers and whippets make great ferreting dogs, working dogs in general.

There's an online catalogue for wild and farmed rabbit, whole and minced, here. They're in Lincs but supply the whole UK and deliver next day via Fedex. Not the cheapest but will keep you going until after New Year.

Thanks for posting this link Annie. I didn't know that rabbit could be bought over the net like that.
I ordered some after looking at the link and requested for delivery today expecting a message back saying it would be after the new year for despatch, but I had an email back from the chap saying it would arrive and it turned up a nine o'clock this morning  The dogs had a pack for tea and loved it!

So thankyou Annie

(especially from Ozzy n Vinnie) (w00t)

I've just noticed this post,

i can supply rabbits at £1.00 each. I'm about 40 miles away so it would be best to collect a few at a time. Just give me a weeks notice if you want more than 50

PM me if your interested and i'll send you my numbers
