really worried bout my year old whippet. He has seemed fine all day even though he didnt eat his breakfast but he is also refusing his dinner, tried him on mince and tatties and no joy there either, just tried him with some milk and he isnt interested at all he seems sleepy but he did have a long walk this afternoon.

normally i wouldnt worry but he was hit by a car 2 months and damaged his spleen his gums are pink enough. i will take him to the vet tomorrow is there isnt any improvement

Hope its nothing too serious, please let us know how he gets on wont you.

Sending Get Well wishes. :huggles: :luck:

Hope all goes well at the vets and that it turnes out to be nothing :huggles: :luck: :luck:

Hope that he's fine tomorrow. Let us know how he is. :luck:

Hope Blue is okay? If damage has been caused to the spleen previously it could sometimes lead to bleeding internally and this, if not caught early can lead to the dog bleeding to death. There are no signs other than sudden collapse or lethargic behaviour - sometimes the dog may appear lethargic and then minutes later behave normally so it is a difficult problem to catch. I am very glad you are taking him to the vet for a check as they will be able to ascertain if it is a spleen problem. Hugs and kisses to you Blue - hope you feel better soon.

blue has bn sick twice through the night just yellow bile cos obv there is nothing in his stomach almost sure its a big cos my older one hasnow got the runs also she is fine in herself and still wanting to eat and play. blue has the vet at 2.30 cos we are appointments only at our vets so will let u know when we get back. his gums are still pink so dont think he is bleding anywere.

well its offical he is a drama queen there might b a bit of stomach flu in there but she wasnt concerned temp is fine and no sign on bleeding so she is treating him for stomach flu to see how he gets on

Great news! Hope Blue is soon on the mend and gets over his bug quickly - lots of TLC, lounging on the sofa, sleeping on your bed and lots of tasty things to eat I am sure are on Blue's list of things to speed his recovery!

great news give blue a big hug from all the gang

vets are useless he is def not a drama queen bn up all night with him being sick again so got the vets at 10am fingers crossed they find out whats going on this time.

Poor Blue and a worrying time for you :( I do hope the vet gives you some answers today :luck: :luck:

Poor Blue - hope he feels better soon :luck:

Sorry to read that Blue was still being sick last night. Hopefully the vets will be able to sort him out and that it won't be too expensive.

:huggles: to Blue.

Hows Blue doing, hope its good news :luck: :luck: and  :huggles: sent to you.

just heard back from the vets there going to keep him in overnight just to keep putting fluids into him by drip as he still doesnt want to eat or drink. He has bn given a xray which didnt show anything well they didnt think it would but just in case, he hasnt bn sick at all today in the vets which is good news so if he has a good night we will get him home tomorrow. They feel more confident now tht it isnt something in side that shouldn't be but will know for def tomorrow, if he is sick thro the night they will give a barium meal first persuaded them not to open up for exploratory surgery till these other tests are done.

:( Poor Blue hope hes home soon.

Sending :huggles: from us.
