Well after all the good things that have been happening to Spry of late I suppose it was inevitable that we had to have a bit of bad luck :(
Spry has a lump on her knee which doesn't cause her any bother but us being us whipped her off to the vet and he says it's a tumor    not as scary as it sounds thank goodness :sweating: , not cancerous type and quite common in the short hair breeds apparentley but he wants to take it out never the less because he says it will grow and may become infected :(   so she's booked in Tuesday morning to have it removed, vets says she is fine to race this weekend which I'm glad about because she would have been very fed up not to, before her recouperation rest :huggles:

Well Lesley first of all glad you all enjoyed yourselves in lampy land, nice place suffolk yes, now dont worry to much about spry, im sure she will be just fine.

keith

Best of luck with Spry, Lesley, and make sure that they send the lump off for pathology even though they think it is fine, just to be absolutely sure and put everyone's minds at rest.  :luck:

Thanks for your well wishes everyone as you can imagine I'm not looking forward to Tuesday :(   but the vet reassured us that it would need only the mildest of anesthetic(sp) so now I just want it done with and gone

So sorry to hear about your little girl needing an operation :( Glad to hear that they are sure that it is not a really nasty lump, but as Beth said, make sure that they send it off anyway

Will be thinking of you lots on Tuesday, please make sure that you let us know that she is home safe and well :huggles:

Good luck to Spry on Tuesday. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you both. One of my cats had a benign tumour on his leg a few years back and he had it removed. Luckily he recovered from it really quickly. It was more the anaesthetic that troubled him as he was like a drunk all night when he came home from the vet, bless him.

:huggles: to you both

Kirsty
