Bless his heart with his lovely lamp shade hat (w00t)

I'm glad he's ok and i'm sure in two or three days he will be like a caged beast, desperate for freedom and bouncing off the walls. Well my boy Badger was like that anyway

Give him a cuddle from me and my not so manly whippet boys (w00t)

Mac says thank you... Lamp shade is off now, he is a good boy and is not licking. Yet... Tomorrow is another day...

We have found a routine to get upstairs. Lift front end one step up. And then the backend. And front end again... Took about 5 min to get upstairs to the bedroom...

 at the description. Still he's upstairs which is where all whippets go to bed just like the humans. Well except for mine but we live in a bungalow. :b

Glad that he's okay and recovering well.

Glad to hear he's come through fine, you must be very relieved that all was okay. It's always nervewracking putting them under anaesthetic, they look so pathetic after coming round, but they do bounce back to normal quite quickly.

The worst news is no off lead exercise for ten days. He will tear the house down!!
Spare a thought for us, we've got another 6 weeks or more of this

Glad to hear all is well with Mac. Sending some extra hugs. :huggles:

Everything is still fine, and he is more lively now :) He just found his favorite chewie toy now as I am writing

Vet said he could have some painkillers if necessary, but I will keep him off them at the moment. Otherwise I think he will do too much too early and I don't want him to rip anything open...

Still look forward to when he can run loose again, I can see the little devil in his eyes... o:) I can only imagine how Gelert is after so long with his sore leg...

BeeJay: Is there anywhere else they can sleep??? I thought you got whippets as some sort of accessories for the bed... Fashionable hotwater bottles (incl farts)

Glad all went well with Mac's op  It really was for the best,I like you would not want to risk it by leaving it any longer.

Lots of hugs and licks to him for a speedy recovery :huggles:

He is nearly back to his normal self today, but wants to be lifted up and down the stairs. Not sure if that is because of any pain or just being lazy. And think he finds it funny with me jumping up as soon as he wants something. And he likes to be carried anyway (is that a common whippet thing or just him?) but he is heavy.....

Anyway, here is the boy!!

Zeb was just the same when he had his op on his leg. I had to carry him up and down the stairs. he got so used to it that he thought that i would carry him when he was back to has old self.
