We are just home from Lancashire this evening, and glad to have spoken to Nev, and hear that Polly is doing well. She was amazing at the time, it must have been so painful, but she just sat like a little angel, and had it put in a splint - So so brave. :luck: :luck: :luck: lots of luck keeping her quiet - it's not natural for a whippet to be still for long  they're such mad creatures.

Keep us updated Andrew, and give Polly a hug from us.

I rang my Dad last night after aborting our holiday due to flooding! Polly is doing really well. She has no dressing on, just stitches which appear to be healing nicely. The only problem he has is keeping her quiet, as she doesn't seem to appreciate that she is injured, so she is on Dads knee or on a lead (nothing changes with the former).I'll keep you all updated as things progress.

Glad Pollys on the mend Andrew, sorry about your holiday. :( tell your mum & dad we"ll see them in Cornwall.

Hi Andrew, hope Polly makes a full recovery, has she not got a cast on for her break. what has she exactly done, did she not have a double break as people have said  has the vet put a plate in her leg to keep it straight.

hope she does well, I know its hard to try and keep her carm bless her :huggles:

She has broken both radius and ulna, so both bones in her foreleg. The vet has plated the breaks, and obviously very well, as they said she didn't need a cast

 thats great news

:luck: :luck: :luck: hope for a real speedy recovery :luck: :luck: :luck:

and as for keeping a whippet calm  :- " impossible i should think

Neville tells me she is already weight bearing on it so the op seems to have gone well.
