Heya sarahIf your throat is unbearable, it's possible you may have a touch of tonsilitis as well :(

With a normal sore throat, such as one caused by a virus, a couple of paracetamol every 6 hours should keep it under control but with a more severe infection you will need a stronger painkiller such as co-dydramol (prescription only) and possibly antibiotics if your throat is ulcerated

I've posted that packet to you, 1st class!!! Hang in there, kid

yeh it is unbearable ..... it hurts to speak..... :(

i have 'pox' on my gums and in my mouth so hey....... why not have them in my throat too!!! getting annoyed with feeling crap now..

Oh dear :(

I had tonsilitis last March and it was the same - couldn't speak and just wanted to curl up in a ball and give up

OH was happy cos I couldn't nag him

You can buy Difflam throat spray (made by 3M) in pharmacies - that will help somewhat

hey again,

i find the best thing for ur throat is half and half measures of whiskey and lime cordial or juice. both work as an antiseptic and anasthetic ~( although it will sting like a bugger hold it in ur throat for as long as u can.) plus if it dont work ur too pissed to care  (w00t)

i hope ur feeling better soon babe

yes ann im still poorly and reminding me that i missed the coursing today doesnt help............ you mean woman u.

Don't put it on broken skin, hun. It may sting as it is urea based.

It's ok on the dry itchy spots.

Worth using Cetream (horse cream) made by thomas pettifers on the infected spots - it's very good  or alternatively Wonder Gel - this works for any infected cuts and grazes I get :D You should be able to get it from your local horsey place :)

lol, i have both of the above mentioned in my horse first aid kit!!

nothing in a first aid kit for people, but everything for horses and dogs! lol typical horsey/dog folks thinking of them first. :b
