Hi Susan. Sorry to hear one of the litter are returning. Our lives have been turned upside down with little Kendall but we wouldn't be without him even after a week. He is even cute when he wants a wee at 5am on a frosty morning :D

It isn't easy and your lives revolve around them, and you need to grow eyes in the back of your head but it will be worth it in the long run. We love our little tissue thief to bits and if she is even half as good as he is you should find a home for her soon.

just be glad youre getting her back. one of my pups, despite having gone throught the whole puppy contract thing, was sold on to another person without us being informed, let alone being offered him back, and i legally have no leg to stand on. the 'new' owner (the pup is now 2yrs old) is unfit to look after herself, never mind animals, and to top it off bred my beautiful pick of the ltter showbred kc reg boy to a mongrel, let the pups get handled by all and sundry the day they were born (i'm positive this is why nearly the whole litter got parvo, one of which died as a result) sold the pups under different labels, to 2 people as boxer x staffords, to others as pitbulls (i went psycho at the woman who bragged about her pup being a pitbull, believe me) she never gave her bitch a chance to feed the pups, straight onto lactol, never took said bitch to the vets despite her having a stinking black discharge 3mths after whelping, and, though shes had the dog warden out to her place, is actively encouraging a repeat mating....i could go on, its breaking my heart

:'(

anyway, good luck, i'm sure that for such a pretty girl the forever home(and mustnt forget sofa :p ) are just around the corner :huggles:

Crikey, how awful for you. What a terrible thing to happen. We are lucky that we have got her back and that the other pups are with very nice people.

Meant to add, the people who brought the pup back are also nice people, they made a mistake in having a pup in the first place. One of those things that happens, they didnt give it enough thought.

Well we got Baby Kiah back late afternoon today and she has settled straight back in but added to the general bedlam at playtime :- "

She seems fine if a little light but has been eating heartily since she has been back.

Here are a few pics taken this evening of her "playing" with our Lucy :D

Unfortunately some new owners suffer from what is almost equivalent to 'post natal depression' when they get a pup. I've suffered it myself a couple of times (don't laugh :b ). I suffered it with Fred and Stan, even though I was prepared for it with Stan. I'd feel sick with anxiety, and wish I could go back to the way I'd been before the pup arrived. I'd wake up in the early hours feeling awful, I'd be filled with this awful depression. You feel that you're just not going to bond with this new arrival, your comfortable routine has been turned upside down,  and you mechanically go through the motions but feel awful inside, and then a week or two later, something clicks and you realise everything is going to be OK, and the anxiety disappears. You suddenly feel relieved, and start to emotionally bond with the pup. If you haven't experienced it, it's rather hard to describe and help others overcome it. I guess some owners don't realise this feeling will pass eventually.
At least they've done the decent thing and they called you and arranged for the puppy to be returned to you. Good luck with finding a permanent home 2nd time around.

You are so full of cleverness and incite Nicola. I can remember that feeling with Archie who I struggled with so much. it is hard to adapt to the mopping and howling and worry and all of the other stuff. At least these folk did the right thing as you said Nicola by admitting it wasn't going to work and got that little poppet back to the breeder. She is so pretty

not a hope in hell. the contract isnt legally binding as it wasnt witnessed by independant people, in the presence of a solicitor, and as he was sold to a different person to who is abusing him, we are totally out of the loop.

the woman doesnt even like him being fed much! her stepson sneaks him food when shes in bed, but its just not enough. ive had her neighbours telling me how skinny hes getting, theyre who phoned the dog warden.

I would buy her straight away, she would love it with Milly & Poppy. But I would have to turf the wife out first,,,,MMMM thats a thought.

Well we have had a few enquiries but they have all come to nothing so far - at this rate she will be staying with us LOL (w00t)

Just read all this. Well she is a really beautiful pup  I hope she finds her forever home soon. She certainly looks extremely happy to be back with you :huggles:

She is so adorable i wish i could have her . But i doubt hubby would go for it Flash drives him crazy already lol He doesn't quite understand whippets yet although he loves Flash to bits when he isn't being dived all over and having his hair eaten or being pushed off the couch and bed rofl.Although he is getting into the playing where him and flash growl and bark at each other and he secretly loves being jumped all over when he comes in from work :) I think the idea of another whippy terrorising anything that moves would be a big no .

So looks like i gotta wait til Flash turns into a couch potato so i can so told you so :p

And start my creeping for no2 :- "

Good luck i'm sure you will find her the perfect home :)
