Can anyone please tell me where I can get a soft leather whippet puppy collar? So excited that I might be getting one ( Not till end of March and then only maybe) and I'm putting together a layette!

Thanks

Rosie

I always use an ordinary puppy collar because they grow out of them so quickly, if you do get a leather one my advice would be dont spend a wad of cash on one firstly because it wont last two minutes and secondly it will probably chew it in bits given half a chance o:)

Good luck when you get one :luck: :D

have a look on the market place under Alfyn - she makes beautiful collars

:)

you could always get a italian greyhound collar if you what a leather one but it wont fit until the pups around 3 months old.

i always use a cat collar for awhile so they get use to having something on their necks.

Im the same

Cat collar and lead at first and then get them used to it before moving to leather collars

Juley on here makes and sells her own collars. Ive had mine from her and they are brill

Try Sue Ward ( Venture Coats), on 01264 781782. She will make "made to measure" and to whatever design and colour you want.

I've used a cat collar on both of mine ..... with a bell attached!!!!!

That way I knew when they were moving around and needed to go out for a wee and, vice versa, I now know where they are when they are out and running around (got alot of hedgerows around here and Ella tends to get up into them and disappear (w00t) :sweating: ) Jinny stopped wearing her bell at about 5 months old :D

What a good idea about the bells...never thought of it.....I think I'll get one for Ruby as she is always hiding in the garden

I do the same. Start them with a stretchy cat collar for the first couple of weeks to get them used to wearing a collar. And definitely leave the bell on!

Many thanks for all the help and advice.

Fingers crossed that the bitch is in pup :luck:

When we had our girls we had to use cat collars as we couldn't find any small enough. We have only just bought them nice leather ones, as they grow so quick and it is just a waste.
