was he chipped when you got him if so the details of breed will be on it
He should have been chipped - but how his breed is recorded doesn't matter if he fits the physical characteristics and measurements of an XL Bully.

He looks like pit bull

He has already had the dogs type of breed confirmed and has had his dog exempt and followed all the law required of him ....

Here's some more recent ones of him.

He's about 6 months old now & weighs about 17Kg at a guess.

He's very well behaved around the Children, other Dogs, and the public in general.

He's very alert & protective of my wife in particular, though, when out & about.

He's lovely :) Do the regulations mean that you need to keep him muzzled and on lead outside the house the whole time?

And can I suggest that you get him an open basket/Baskerville type muzzle that allows him to open his mouth to pant and breathe more easily? The type that hold the mouth closed can be quite dangerous as dogs do really need to be able to pant.

He is a handsome boy! I was just going to say the same re muzzle...
@JudyN according to my pet business insurance, as a dog walker, they have to be muzzled and on lead at all times when out,(and walked on a one to one basis only) except if you've hired one of those enclosed fields for your dog to run free in. Presume same would apply to owner??

I think he needs to be muzzled & on a lead at all times, so we do that all the time except when he's on our property.

I'm not sure if the muzzle rule only applies for Dogs over 19" tall, and ours currently stands at 16" - but we do it anyway.

That Muzzle shown was bought when he was very young, but we'll be investing in the basket type in the next couple of days.
