Connie has had her "comfort" soft toy since she was a pup ........She carry's "mousy" around alot, cleans him and he always gets brought up to bed at night (by Connie) :huggles: .........Our other dogs are allowed to play with mousy until Connies tired, then she'll get all protective and will guard him with her life, as she needs him to sleep, like a kid with a blanky or dummy :b .....She mouths mousy and cries quietly until she falls to sleep :wub: ........Now my question .......Connies having her first season ........Do you think her babying mousy ought to be restricted as it may encourage her to have a phantom ?? .....or should I just let her carry on as normal and keep my fingers crossed ?? ....... Hannah ...........

No I don't think you should restrict her babying Mousy - nothing to do with it encouraging her to have a Phantom - but because it is very very cute. :huggles:

If you took Mousy off her do you think she would just find something else to mother instead? I found Holly 'nursing' a dead rat in a basket (thank God not our bed :x ) when she was in season. Took the rat off her :x and a few minutes later she had an old broccoli stalk in there with her :b :blink:

Well firstly I think its a bunny not a mousey and secondly they are soooooooooooo cute together :wub: :wub: :wub: , but honestly I really don't think it will encourage or discourage the phantom pregnacy.

A friend's lurcher had really bad phantom pregnacies for her first two seasons and took ALL the toys in the house to bed and mothered them and didn't pay particularly more attention to her blue bear, and now she still takes the bear around with her, but doesn't have noticable phantom pregnacies.

The dogs had killed a rat that morning and I couldnt find it and Star had been in the rabbits shed and stolen their left overs Just a typical morning (w00t)

Olivia you are correct , but all our toy's (as well as live prey) are known as mousys in this house lol .........It stems from Jacobs love of handing me mice he had .....ummm found on our walks :b .....So I blanketed all fluffy things as mousys (You've met Twit, he's far from bright lol ....so I kept it simple :lol: ) ......

Thank goodness for that .....I had a bruise on my bum for week's ......Not only that I find i'd lost my credit card, tesco's club card and bank card ......only to find Mrs Booker had STOLEN them .......Plus Little Eir got kidnapped one night aswell (w00t) ........Yeah, go on .....book us in again ......We may be plus 1 more Whippet though if Inca produces ........but i'll hide her from you :lol:

was startin to get worried that it was only charlie that done it! he's suck our fingers really gently to get to sleep sometimes aswell think he might like havin his gums tickled?

Awww what lovely pics :huggles: :huggles: I haven't any advice Hannah never been there(yet)what I want to know though is how come there is stuffing in those teddies, mine destuff everything :devil: on average a teddy would last around 3 days (w00t)
