Good luck at Hastings! :luck:

I WILL hug Fergal - probably a BIG BEAR hug most of the day to try and keep him on the ground! (w00t) :D

Very best of luck emw, and remember you have a dog to be proud of, whatever happens! :luck: :luck: :luck:

Looking forward to hearing all about it tomorrow!

Loads of luck :luck: :luck: :luck: :luck: :luck: to both of you and enjoy your day.

We'll be thinking of you emw & Fergal - enjoy yourselves! Let's know what happens huh? ;) :luck:

Very best of luck to emw and Fergal. Just remember you'll be taking the best dog home after the show.

What - do you get to swap for a dog that doesn't chew things, comes back when you call him and knows what walking to heel is??? :D  :D

Just in case anyone is there at this ridiculously early time on a Sunday morning (am starting to think that showing isn't for me  ) ...

Do I need to take his vaccination certificate and/or his KC registration certificate???

THANK YOU!

I expect I have missed you Estelle, but I have never been asked for KC cert or vacc cert at a show.

Good luck again :luck: and Fergal, BEHAVE!!!! ;)

Hope its all going well at the show :luck:

Hope you have an enjoyable day Estelle, whatever the outcome!!! :luck: :)

... he was ...

TRIUMPHANT!!!

So we got to compete for Best of Breed!

And Fergal was TRIUMPHANT again! Beating off stiff competition from all the other non-existent whippets! :- " :p

And so he got Best Puppy too! :teehee:

(Someone else thought THEY should be Best Puppy ... :- " )

CONGRATULATIONS and well done to both of you

Well that messed up our day - because I had assured everyone that we would be done and dusted by 11am! And now I felt obliged to go and compete for Best in Show (no group classes :( ). So the helpers went off to play in the park for a while.

And then there we were in the big ring with the big dogs!

And ...

... we didn't even make the first cut (is that the right terminology for getting chucked out with the rabble??) ...

Heh ho! ;)

So dog showing ... hmmmmm.

It's nice to have some big rosettes that say things like BEST OF BREED on them. BUT we could have acheived that today with a cardboard box on sticks! :b

Having said that - Fergal was great, and ringcraft has obviously paid off because he was brilliant ... I am sure I let him down. :b He's shattered now and is fast asleep - ahhhh  .

Well blinkin' done Fergal and Estelle!!!! Blimey, if I went to my first show I'd expect to be invisible, so well done on coming home with actual ROSETTES!!!! I love that picture of Fergal standing proud, he looks so masterful and handsome. If I was to have a coat of arms I'd want him on it, rearing up like a magnificent lion... LOL, whippet rampant!

Estelle, be proud, because a judge can actually withhold or refuse an award if they don't think the exhibit is worthy. So I doubt that you could have won BOB with a cardboard box on sticks ;) Ok so he was the only one there but the judge saw fit to award the prize so that's a good thing. :p

Actually Lana, a Best of Breed has to be declared over here, you cannot withold the award. But well done Estelle and Fergal, he looks lovely so you have obviously both worked very hard. Who was judging??

Well done Estelle & Fergal, He looks lovely in the photo

When's your next show??? :)

Dessie,surely a judge can withhold 1st prize,therefore there wouldn't be a best of breed????
