How very very sad Such a freak accident, no one could have imagined that would happen & your poor son mustn't blame himself.

So sorry your son is going through such terrible emotions, I hope time heals his sadness. Accidents are horrible things, they take loved ones away so quickly and the rest of us blame ourselves with 'if only's. No matter how much time you ponder on it, there's always the same conclusion, when your meant to go, your meant to go. Don't blame yourself Leon for a moment you couldn't possibly have control of but remember always the warm and happy times you shared.

So very sorry about Indi, and also about your poor son - he must feel terrible, but you are obviously doing everything possible to convince him that it was just an accident, and sadly accidents do happen.

How awful - I dread this happening at my house as a couple of times I have done the same and the back door has slammed - luckily (as that what it is just luck) the dogs weren't in the way.

So please tell your son that this happens all the time is just very very awful bad and tragic luck that Indi was in the way.

I have encouraged Leon to read this thread, he became upset again, but at least he's started talking about the good times him and Indi had now, and he's eating a bit better too,

he's still not interested in going out with his friends yet though and does still spend most of his time in his room, but I keep popping in to have a cuddle, he does seem to be coming around a bit now though,

it's so hard to keep strong as I'm still grieving myself, but I have to block that out for the sake of my son, for now anyway

I know EXACTLY how Leon feels having run over and kill one of my beloved cats last year Im reminded of it every day as I pull out of my drive

Its not something easy to forget , but Leon knows ( as do we all ) it was an accident , and life is full of `IF ONLY s`
