I brought the ferrets home today & they seem to be settling in o.k. Hebe & Scrumpy don't even seem to have noticed them but Raffy is a different matter (w00t) He's had his head stuck out of the catflap ever since I got home with them, staring at the hutch  I took him out on lead to introduce him to them through the cage doors. He was a little bit excited to say the least & the ferrets were non too impressed. He then took up position inside the back door & whined for a while. He's been out a couple of times for a wee & had a quick peek but they've gone into the covered bit so there's nothing to see :(

The ferrets are lovely, 2 females & a big male. The camera needs its batteries charging so I'll post some pics tomorrow. If I can get past that daft dog

Look forward to your pictures hope they get on well. ;)

Bless, poor Raffy. All these kittens coming and going and now these strange creatures have invaded his garden! (w00t) I bet life is gonna be real fun round your house now. :- "

Looking forward to pics of your new ferrets, and of course the gorgeous Rafferty. :)

Looking forward to the piccies and Rafferty's latest adventures, with the Ferrets. :teehee:

Finally, some not very good pics of the ferrets. What with so much rain & short days the building work on the hutch is going very slowly :(

Raffy is still a bit obsessed :clown: but seems to be getting used to them slowly.

The male ferret is called Bungee Magoo cos he's a bit clumsy & falls off the edge of the ramp sometimes

The dark jill is Frisbee, she is the shyest of the lot & doesn't come out much, you can just see her head sticking out from under the covers in the sleeping part.

The white jill is Slinky, she is really friendly & is out the minute she hears the back door open. When I'm cleaning the hutch out she is in the way, checking out whats going on & generally being nosy.

Hopefully the bigger run will be ready soon & then they can have more space to play in, I think they are getting a bit fed up in a small space.

The new hutch under construction, it's going to be linked to the other one by a tunnel & will have all sorts of ramps & tubes etc in there for them to play with.

I love seeing pics of Rafferty.

Hope it's not to long before your ferrets get their new, bigger hutch, sounds like they'll have loads of fun in it!! :teehee:

great stuff, looking forward to seeing it all finished sounds good:thumbsup:

Rafferty looks perplexed :- " do you think hes going to get along ok.

great hutches - Ive lined out some of my rabbit hutches like that.

LOL Rafferty MUST be absolutely fascinated in them :D

Lovely big hutch too...or it will be when it's finished  Look forward to seeing pics when it's done :)

Love the pic of Rafferty staring into the hutch, he seems absolutely fascinated.

The ferrets look really pretty - I'm jealous, I love ferrets, but my lot would definitely think lunch had arrived.

Act Casual, say nothing :- " They'll be moving in any time now :clown:

Well it looks like "Ferrety Towers" will be finished tomorrow, weather permitting. We've practically emptied B & Q of stock & the run is looking good. Just got to put the door on & that's it done, at last.

I brought the white one into the kitchen the other day for a run about & she went really silly, squeaking & hopping all over the place so I think they will enjoy having more room to play in :D

I could hear Raffy on the other side of the door snuffling & sniffing & when I let him in later he spent about 2 hours convinced she was still there somewhere. The boy is obsessed :clown:

Finally the new hutch is ready for the critters to move in :) We finished it at about 11 yesterday morning & let them in, it was really cute watching them discover the tunnel linking the 2 parts & then seeing them exploring their play room

They have had such a good time running about & running in & out of the tunnels. I've spent ages just watching them play. (must get out more  )

Rafferty is now convinced there are 2 different lots of ferrets & runs back & forward as they go from one part to the other

The new hutch looks great, I bet the ferrets are having loads of fun with all those toys.

Hi, your ferrets look so sweet. I bet its nice to have your dog get along with them. Mine think they are food and try to eat them if they see them. Oh well suppose they dont no any different between a ferret and a rat. I keep m ferrets in a hed othey can have full run.

My two jacks are little sods but I woldnt be without them.
