Sorry I missed this....glad everything went well with the anaesthetic, even though it must have been a bit of a shock to find out he was having 10 removed

Glad he's back to his normal self, and this sentance had me in stitches (w00t) (w00t) (w00t)

But now..... he has a very convenient gap along the front so I can just pop the small pillules straight in :- "  Poor Raffy.

Julie's posts about Rafferty always tickle me. :p

Sorry to hear he's lost so many teeth though....but he's still be our comical Rafferty even with a gappy grin :huggles:

We went back to the vets for his check up today & the vet was very happy with the way it's all healed up :) She gave him a little biscuit & checked he could chew o.k. He could, & conned a second one out of her :b

He was so keen to get in to the surgery, he must have forgotten all about his ordeal, couldn't wait to get in & be fussed by the receptionists & nurses.

The reason so many had to come out was that once the tartar had been removed there were lots of little cavities along the gum line which, if left, would have just got infected. It still seems a bit extreme to me but I suppose they don't do fillings for dogs

Anyway, the nurses reckoned I may as well try to claim it back off the insurance as I've nothing to lose & £210 to gain (hopefully) :luck:

my pup razzle went to our vets yesterday(nothing serious)and caused uproar in the vets!every dog that came in she had a growl or rumble at,(then she wags her tail and says hello!) :clown: and everyone was in stitches laughing at her.she lies on her back with her legs in the air and shuffles along the ground growling all the while shes doing it!ive not a clue what shes doing or why she does it but everyone thinks its hilarious  shes a total nutcase.must come from living in a family of nutters! :- "

good luck with getting your money back off the insurance, :luck: :luck: :luck: hopefully its not classed as general dental care?
