Rags is coming on well, he is clean in the house but still has a few accidents in his crate overnight (yuck!!)

His hair is growing back well, he has gone from 10.5 kilos on 14.10 to 14 kilos on 26.10. so he is getting there. His eye and nail bed infections are completely cured and his broken toe is improving .

His problem is still people, he is very, very frightened of strangers and even with my friends who visit us, he won't settle until they sit down, he is petrified if you stand over him. I don't think it will ever leave him. But he really, really loves a cuddle, he is a real sweetie!!

Jools,

Rags does look so much better, a big well done to you! Hopefully the night time activities may soon cease :x and good luck with the socialising!

My Molly arrived 10 years ago, shook at everyone and everything. People, other dogs, traffic...but you would not have recognised her after a few months. She began to come out of her protective shell and really grew in confidence. I believe it was the realisation that we really, really did love her and still do. Therefore Rags may yet get over his fear/worries as Molly has, love and time does begin to make a difference, it did with her.

Rags is looking loads better.

Well done for getting him fit and well again.

Hope he regains his confidence in us humans.

He's lovely.

Doing a magnificent job jools  , every faith he will continue to come on so well...

Rags has been for a check on his broken toe this morning, it is healing really well. The vets now think it is time for his "bits" to come off!! So he is going in on Friday morning. He has been quite a handful with the girls this last few days, they are getting really sharp with him. Brodie my castrated Lab. X is getting decidedly nasty with him, so it will be better all round. I will be really relieved when he comes home on Friday night - I will let you know how he has gone on.

 Rags,

What a good job you are doing with him
