I've taken the plunge and starting my girls on the raw diet.

I've had loads of advice (thank you Helen and Joe)

I've found a really good buthcher whos's giving me a fab deal on the grub :D

I also got a couple of bones for them to try and Dippy loved it and is still knoring at it now (she's had it almost an hour and half :teehee: ) Inca took a little persuading to have a lick but I took some of the marrow from the middle...needless to say she loved it after one little taste :D

Fingers crossed everything else will be enjoyed just as much...

Strange arent they how some will take to anything and others need persuading, :luck: with your raw food.

good luck helen, let me know how it goes,is it more expensive than the food you was previously feeding.

I've yet to find that out...I'm waiting to see how long this lot lasts and then I'll have a better idea.

I've just had to chop it all up and its a right job  but the next time the butcher said he'll be able to mince it for me.

I'll keep you informed

Good luck with the feeding. I dont think its costs that much more really - and I personally think everyones dogs look great on it.

My two love it.

Good luck with it :luck:

Mine unfortunately cant eat raw :( it seems to give them all dicky tummies, except the two Min Poodles  Here's hoping yours have better constitutions than mine!

Well so far its Dippy that will entertain it...Inca refuses to go near the kitchen let alone her bowl...

That doesn't sound good Keith... :x

Inca won't even eat it, so I don't know what effect it would have on her :x

She loves her chicken wings and sardines though (w00t)

There was a thread recently on comparative cost - started by someone called simon I think, I'll have a dig when I've got some free time and see if I can find it for you

Personally I find it pretty inexpensive to feed raw, and the benefits are so visible. And I'm not just talking about the glossy coat and clean teeth :b :- " I had to feed the girls on packet food for a day when we moved house... omg, the stink and the size of the waste products :x give me their usual little dried chipolatas any day

sorry... "far too much information!"
