Great pics I wish we had a place like that near us.

Beautiful countryside Janis  Is it close enough to your home to walk there, or do you have to drive there and then walk?

You could walk all the way - although its mostly uphill :sweating: .... its about 1 mile or thereabouts..... so us lazy people :- " take the car, then park up and walk around the reservoir, which takes about 50 minutes anyway. My hubby and I were just saying how little the road is used really considering how lovely it is there. Apart from the Fishermen of course.

There used to be a village there and they flooded it to make the reservoir -long before my day, so there is a little hidden village under there.

It is known as Tunstall Reservoir ... alias Tunstall Village.

They look gorgeous. And doesn't Kobi look so grown up, all of a sudden?

"I think it means we mustn't chase the ducks, Kobi. But rabbits might still be OK!"

Is Tunstall before Scotch Corner coming from Cumbria on the A66?

You have some lovely countryside around you Janis. Perfect whippet walking country. So satisfying to see two dogs enjoying their walk together. Bet Kobi does 'follow my lead' with Oscar.

Think that is another Tunstall, Denise actually, We are on the A68 - but The Tunstall I have took photos of is just outside of my village. I will ask the OH tonight - hes better at geography than me Im afraid. :- "

Janis, what lovely pictures ive looked several times now and just keep going back again.

Your boys are very lucky to have all that countryside.

Can we come and live with you (w00t)

Thank you Tina and everyone for you Nice comments.

I do like living here (most of the time).... occasionaly yearn for pastures new - but I think we are all guilty somtimes of taking our countryside for granted and should try to appreciate it fully.
