one of our old rescue greyhound lads dies this aftrenoon. Boris had heartatck/stoke this morning. we phone dthe vet who was going to come and pts him after surgery but that lad didnt make it and dies in tony arms he didnt seam in any pain at all through it all and was basicaly slipping in and out of consuisuness just came round for a minet or 2 and then undre again he took a couple of death breaths and was gone all infront of the fire on his fave bed cuddled up with Tony and all the other dogs arround. hes not been ill and was up and playing silly sods with forrest last night. Boris has allways had a speacil bond with Tony infact there were partners in crime for the last 11 years out to drive me mad weather it be peeing only on my clean washing ( thats just boris) or his fav trick if i whent on the phone he would stand inches way from my face barking lol.I am sure tony trained him to get me off there. he shouted at anyone who sat on teh sofa with him if they stoped or didnt stroke him to the extent he would kick you of there. he was a sod every singel day i threatend to send him back as he was allways up to no good.

He loved harrassing small dogs even had a JRT hanging frome its head as he decied it would be good to pick it up head first and just stand there with it dangaling just as he was supposed to go in the show ring at a lurcher show. the jrt wasnt hurt and Boris still won firstplace lol. He wasnt a dog for the fain harted or first time owner as he came with lots of problem but over the years he grew in to a proper cheeky sod

Even at nearly 14 years old he could sort all the other out and if Boris wanted to sit on the sofa who ever you were 2 or 4 legged he would harrass you till you moved.

Tonys absolutly gutted but I think he couldnt have gone any bettre and had a fantastic 11 years with us and the bond he and Tony had was so speacil for this grump unhomabel speacile needs greyhound nobody wanted but us and the lady at the rescue were the only ones who had fath in him ad were so glad we did

heres a few pics of the big lad he never realy took good phottos dont know why he was much more hansome in real life

Really sorry to hear about Boris Wendy, i know he was a monkey and played up, he's bound to leave a huge gap in your family.

It must be a great comfort that he passed away at home, with all his mates around and in Tony's arms.

RIP Boris x

Thanks for all the kind thought I think if you have to loes a dog they why he went was the best. after he had past on we left him on his bed and all the other dogs spent time lying with him or just looking at him as if they new. minne lay with her head on him for some time. they all seamed to come and say goodby and i have to say they all seam better for it there all very quiet and yet even with fireworks going of settled.I did rember reading somewere to let there mates say goodby and it seams to have helped. Allthuogh having a great big empty gap on the sofa seams very odd to all of us.

Really feel for you and Tony Wendy, they leave such a big hole in your heart when you lose them but thats because they take up such a big part of your heart when they're here.

Run free Boris
