one of my bitches does this with the boys, its a dominance thing, she is trying to get the message across that she is above them in the pecking order.

so pixie is telling jake she is the boss so to speak

my iggies bitches - especially Genie! - do this to the whippet dogs all the time

we call it 'all aboard the whippet train' (w00t)

Angel always trying it with Dale, our neutered boy when she in season

My 4 year old Pixie tries to do this to Rupert but he is far more taller than her, she doesnt get very far but she does try her best!

Our 12 year old girl mounts our 4 month old boy, and it's a dominance thing. It's definately worse if he's getting too much attention, and seems to happen reliably after he's done his mad whippet dance around the yard of an afternoon : she can't run that fast anymore, and therefore she needs to assert herself. We're obedience training our boy and when we get him to "drop" the old girl thinks it means mount, so it's very funny!
