The RSPCA are to petition the Government to bring in statute regulation ragarding the welfare of Greyhounds. I personally couldn't agree more. The welfare of these wonderful animals is paramount and we can all show our support by signing the petition. We can all rant and rave about what has happened at Seaham but by signing the petition will show we are all concerned about their welfare.

I'll sign it if someone on here can explain to me why micro chipping a greyhound will ensure high welfare.

Ear Tattooing doesn't. Micro Chipping other breeds of dog doesn't. So what's that doing under their regulations. The rest makes sense.

ive signed it as anything is better than nothing. but i pray for the day that some mp decides to make his name by taking up the plight of these beautiful dogs and campaigning for a ban on betting.racing ive not got anything against as long as its just for fun and sport not money.
