Hi all,

Here's Jack, a 3 1/2 year old Saluki x Greyhound who is looking for a new home.

He is a lovely lad who has just been brought into rescue and is currently staying with me on a foster basis. I want to get him into his new, permanent home as soon as possible - he deserves it.

Full details over on LurcherLink:

Thanks,

Andrew.

What a stunning dog - hope he'll find a lovely new home soon. :luck:  :luck:

He's lovely  good luck to him for a permanent home :luck: :luck:

He is absolutly gorgeous!

Really hope he finds the right home soon :luck:

A couple more pictures of Jack after he sneaked onto the bed along with my other two hounds for a good, long chilling out session... ;) Jack is the one wearing the collar btw - the other two sleep in the buff!

As you can see, Jack is a very placid hound, and great with other dogs. He really is a delight to have around.

I had him running free with my own saluki x grey this morning. His speed and power is, as you might expect, awesome. But the good news is - so is his recall! :) He turns on a sixpence, even when running with another dog - which is rather more than my own dog will!

Thanks everybody,

Andrew.

Wow he's beautiful...if I had a bigger house and settee....!

I'm sure he'll find a good home soon with all those credentials.

I have a greyhound x saluki at home and his name is also Jack!!!! and I also have a saluki too. They are really nice dogs and your Jack looks lovely. Where abouts is he? I would love to take him home but dont think the other half would be so happy......

worth a try, surely :- " change his name to jock maybe (less confusion  )

hes a lovely chap, and you already have experience

I have had a look at the info on the lucher link and you say he is learning to cope with cats. I was wondering if you could tell me a bit more about how you are doing this???? My Salouki x Greyhound is a real problem in this situation and i need help. I will put a post in the correct section too if anyone has any tips???

I am so tempted but we are up in Thurso, Caithness the north of Scotland. You cannot get any further north!!!! And as well as the two big dogs we have another small dog and two horses!! mmmmm..........

I would love to set up some kind of foster home for greyhound/saluki's etc up our way as there is only the small sspca centre up here and i think it would help so many dogs.

Where about is Jack at the moment????

What brilliant pictures of these gorgeous dogs.

So beautiful. What a joy to have such a beautiful creature around each day.

:huggles:

Just to let everybody know the good news - Jack has gone to his new, permanest home today. :)

Maybe this thread should be locked now?

Andrew.

so glad he gone to new home was getting seriously tempted :sweating:
