I buy them for the dogs, and just the other day, I did a taste test :D   Asda sardines are bigger but more oily, and the Tesco ones are smaller, but less oily and tastier - only the best taste for my whippies    Every time I open them, the tin always snaps in the last bit, and flicks tommy sauce over me  :teehee:

I,m glad i,m not the only one then June

these sardine tins should have a warning on them...........

"CAUTION..............OLDIES BEWARE...........POSSIBLE SPRAY"

:teehee:

I spend way more than that on sardines - I'm going to swap now!

Tiny is having mackerel for tea - he's upset because Max is at the vets with a broken leg, so mackerel will cheer Tiny up!

They are good Clair apart from trying to open them, like Nicky says unless you got one of those electric ones,i usually get hubby to open them :- "

Sorry to hear about Max :( Get well soon Max :huggles:

We get the asda sradines and with this lot theres a lot of tins to open and i can never do it so solevd the problem. I make tony open themand he dosnt make a mess cos he hates the smell of fish so is extra carfull not to spil any. so the solution is get a fish hateing hubby

Yes we get them - a couple of trays at a time. Bit of a faff having to use a tin opener, but only takes 30 seconds. And they have passed the taste test from my lot

Juney i hate that ! every flipping time too it happens....i try to sneak up from behind the tin and gently plead with the last millimetre of aluminium to let go without splahing......

.but ohhhhhhh noooo...."PRESIDENT MIKHAIL GORBOCHEV" COME ON DOWN !! and it gets me with the sauce !

Ive started buying the bigger tins of Pilchards Sardines in Asda ..think at the moment they are about 59p by Gelnryk ...enough in the tin to give to three of them..they do them in tomatoe sauce too...

Those ring pulls can be a pain cant they... and agree the electric tin opener does the best job... :)
