Couple of weeks ago, when I was sick, and the girls were so good and short of de-stuffing all their toys, they did not do any damage to the house, I decided to get them a special present. And it arrived today from the USA :)

two Screaming monkeys from the Northcoast Greyhound charity. When pressed they make sound like a peacock - well sort of. The girls approached the strange creatures very cautiously

Genevieve soon decided what to do and she run with her monkey into the garden, no doubt to burry it for a while. Toys are so much more fun after they get bit dirty.... But i like these monkey too much to allow them to be ruined on the first day, i think we keep them for special occasions :b :)

They look really good Lida, were they expensive?

My yard looks like a toy massacre ground, there's bit of stuffing, heads, fluff everywhere. I keep seeing these cute toys & thinking the kids will love them. Well they do, for about 5 minutes. I got a honking goose, it was gorgeous, until it had its guts ripped out.

I would love the screaming monkeys but I know I would just be wasting my money. :(

Linda

The monkey's look great...

Inca hates any toy that makes a noise and will run a mile if you squeak or rattle it at her  so far Dippy doesn't seem to mind them :D

they look very interested in them.

i got a price for 2 of them ,but the postage would have been $35.00 which is crazy so no monkeys for us. :(

they look great - I have been tempted b4 like food the stuffies are always bigger and better from the USA - we have a giant mouse and it is still going stron 2yrs down the line

There are many companies in the USA that sell them. This one is a greyhound charity and the monkeys are only US$11 for one, and less if you buy several, it costed me only US$11.50 for postage and took about week to get here. They were sent by USPS Global priority Mail. So they did not end up too expensive, but they are sitting on top shelf or they will not last very long. The girls will play with them as a special treat. :)

She is very friendly, she organised PayPal for me when i said I cannot pay any other way (I have just learned the hard way that overseas bank cheque cost $20 (w00t) ) and sent me pics of her dogs :)

:luck: :luck: :luck: I would expect postage to UK to be less than to OZ

ive paid $21,50 for my one with postage,so a little expensive for a dog toy,but my babies are worth it.

I have these too and they are great, but PLEASE DO NOT leave your dogs alone with them. They should be a supervised toy only as they have pellets in them, and the noisemaker is hard plastic and if broken and swallwed could cause some serious damage.

Sorry to be a party pooper - like I said ours love them too, but please make them a toy under supervision only.

Thanks for the warning, and yes, mine are sitting on the top shelf, and the girls play with them only under supervision. :)

I think you would find that $10 is the US Post charge for up to 2 monkeys :) Still better than what you were quoted before.
