I told you you'd miss having a second dog and want another eventually (a more compatible character), once you'd recovered from all the upset. :huggles: You'll always have a place in your heart for Bean, but time to move on
orion said:hi there. we are picking our new pup up on saturday 20th oct. a blue boy we have named Lester. :b know just how you are feeling and we are nesting in a big way! are you all prepared then? he is an absolutely gorgeous confident looking dog with beautiful markings.will be great to see him grow and looking forward to more pictures of him.
Lol, yes we can exchange the 'where do i get a new mobile mines been chewed' or 'how do i get puppy poo out of the carpet' or 'can we buy puppy proof toilet rolls' :- " :sweating: (w00t)orion said:oh you are prob sorted if you have a whippet already. things we have done/bought are:basket, collar, name tag and lead (v small collar as his head is tiny - we were perusing cat collars...), crate, 2 bowls (one ceramic, one metal), :sweating: blocked off any holes in the garden, booked him in at the vets for his check up on the monday after we get him, read copious amounts of whippet and general dog training books (which tells me where we went wrong with the other two - greyhound and whippetxgreyhound). we want to get him a snuggle sack but will wait til after we get him. PetPlan do 4 weeks free insurance too. we use petplan for the Basil and Ned and they have been marvellous as Bas was diagnosed with epilepsy earlier this year and had to have an MRI scan - not cheap!!
must say your new pup looks a lot bigger than lester but then he is one of the smallest of the litter. would be great to exchange stories of chaos and joy over the next few weeks!
Photo of Basil on my mums knee last xmas. bas and ned dont know what they are in for!! :- "
