just a thought but could k9 members organise a sponsord dog walk.maybe using aibgail to promote it . but have groups meet up up and down the country and in ireland .phone local radio stations ect, all proceeds go to scruples.whippet rescue ireland and the oldies club. we would all be helping to help these great people doing great jobs and also be raising the profile of whippets

I'm so glad she's safe. Poor mite looks so worried. :luck: :luck: Massive well done to everyone, and a great idea from Abi x Will send a donation. x

That sounds great to me!! And I'm sure, if we could organise something via local radio etc then Abi would be happy to be the 'face' of a sponsored dog walk wherever she is at the time. Home is here in Northumberland but she is at Uni in Loughborough, being a typical student though she would travel to most places (within reason obviously!!) She is an amazing daughter (and yes I AM BIASED!!), but she is an animal lover through and through, was a really good rider, from show ponies through to eventing and just wants to be able to do something to 'make a difference'. I love her to bits and am SO proud!

Thanks guys ... so many good fund raising ideas coming through  We are hoping to organise all sorts of events in the near future so watch this space ... might take us a little while to sort things though so please bear with us ... it feels like a life time already but Scruples was only actually founded yesterday, so still lots to do to get all the 'underpinnings' in place to make this really work :) And Jane is going to be very busy very soon with more than paperwork methinks ;)

Well done for rescuing Molly. About 6 years ago I took in a pregnant whippet. We named her Milly and she had 6 beautiful

pups. All fit and healthy thank goodness. Hope things turn out just as good for Molly. xxx

Thank you, I'm basically quite a quiet person, to the point of avoiding cameras, publicity etc - I would never be as confident as my lovely daughter!! PS She's so much an animal lover that she, along with others in halls, adopted a couple of cats that I'm sure had good homes somewhere, but hey are now official hall fixtures, and (sad person that i am....) I bought her a 'GOGO hamster for Christmas, as she can't have a pet in halls!! :teehee:

Zimmer frame race?!! Hell yes! I've finally found my niche in life!!! I'll go for that.. try keeping up with an 18 year old daughter like mine and I have to admit it, can't even start the race let alone stand the pace!!!! I'm fairly fit for my age but, well... my daughter makes me look silly!

Hi you guys, sorry started work last night so havn't really had time to look at the boards much and therefore this is the first time I've seen this thread. A big well done everybody, please let me know if I can help with foster or transport runs in the Portsmouth area.

Luck and love to you all, and to beautiful Molly
