Hollie has a rub underneath her neck, it's almost bald, her collar must have done it. She only wears it when we go out (although we are out quite a lot), no wonder she scratches at it quite a bit (the collar that is). It is a proper nice whippet collar but she must be a very delicate little girlie.

I remember seeing somewhere a sheepskin lined collar for Whippets, can anyone recomend please.

poor little Hols :huggles:

Monty has a padded one from Ferplast, its soft on his delicate, baby-boy neck but its not very girlie, I'm sure you'll find someone on here who can tell you where to get a nice one from

we haven't seen many up to date pics of her :- "

No sorry I am a bit slack lately.

Was at a horsey competition with few girls from yard & the regular photographer was there he took a few nice ones I will PM you the info so you can take a look.

I've got some from here: Whippet collars on ebay They're not furlined but lined with suede and beautifully soft. They've got some lovely colours and are having a sale!

Yep I've just had two :- " of these delivered today and they are lovely and soft. I'd been looking for a white one to match ruby's white band neck for ages... it makes her look very elegant. Now we'll have to see how long it'll stay white for... ;)

Thanks I ordered one.

Thanks everyone.

Good choice, hope you like it :) after getting him this collar I have never bought another (not because I am tight, but because it is so hard wearing  )

Hi - how about getting a bit of fleece (old jacket?), using your existing collar as a pattern to cut round, and then glueing the fleece to the leather collar? That would soften it a bit. Eleanor

Good idea, but the collar in question is currently being soaked in leather oil because Hollie rolled in what I think was eagle poop! The collar had to be washed in water the smell was awful, the leather is dry & very hard now so I am trying to rescue it.

Maybe she just wanted to ruin it cos it rubs her neck, who knows.

eagle poop! OMG!! what an exotic life she leads

Monty will be most impressed, the best he has managed so far is wood pigeon poop, sun-dried cat poop and munched up chicken wings :x

love the piccy
