hi our grey we have rehomed has bald thighs,what,if anything can be done/given to clear it up.we are planning to take her to a dog show soon,but it looks pretty horrible,dont want people to think she`s being mis-treated.

Alopcia in greyhounds is fairly common so I don't suppose anyone will think she's mistreated
In some dogs it comes and goes to a greater or lesser extent, in others once the hair has gone that's it, and yet in others it sometimes corrects itself.Most of the Greyhounds I see in rescue have this
It could possibly get better over the next few months)
No-one seems to really know what causes it.
She sounds lovely. Good luck at the show

Some racing dogs get "bald thigh syndrome" ......... When they stop racing the thigh hair often grows back .......Kelp powder added daily to her food will help ........ Can I ask what colour she is please ?? ......... Hannah

I give Tiny kelp and also use liverine unction, it works very well on him.
