A Show Certificate of Merit is an award won at open shows. You have to gain a minium of 25 points through BOB, group placings, RBIS and BIS. There is a section in the Kennel Club website where you can download an application form and what points are awarded for the different awards that you win. Once the award is approved by the Kennel Club you are allowed to put SH CM after their name eg Twiggy will become Cornstalk Magic Light SH CH. We only heard about this award recently and found that she had gained enough points this year.
