Hello everyone!
I have a 9-year-old white English Bull Terrier who has been struggling with allergies. For the past six months, she's developed really sore paws. I've tried a variety of treatments. The vets have prescribed four rounds of antibiotics, but when those didn’t help, she was given two courses of steroids. While the steroids provide temporary relief, her paws become sore again just a week later.
After every walk, I soak her paws in Chlorhexidine, dry them thoroughly, and apply ointment to the affected areas. Despite my efforts, there hasn’t been any improvement, and I’m feeling quite lost. The vet did take a swab of the sore spots, which confirmed a bacterial infection.
Has anyone else experienced similar issues? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
