Ive been dying to do this route for ages...gets the thighs pumping a bit and clears the mind. The weather forecast was grim but luckily enough the few square miles i was to cover didnt look to bad..windy but dry.

This is a few hundred yards along the Bloody River Path looking towards Crossone and Slieve Donard behind .

A rocky bouldery path crosses the river a couple of times where the ground became very hard on ankles and thighs. >_<

The Mourne Wall which is about 8ft high built of dry stone leads up-summit cloudwards !

My route skywards

Halyway up and over the Wall to Slievenabrock and Slieve Commedagh

Finally the Cairn on the summit at almost 1000ft amoungst 75mph clouds !

Sat for a while waiting for cloudbreaks to take in the best views in Ireland...it didnt happen  All i could think of now was how do i deflate my thighs again and stop my heart from ceasing :(

Ill post the Descent pictures later as they havent loaded yet....some crackers too and a small video to show the speed of the clouds winging past !
