We came back from the new forest on monday (regular stops for water and car windows open all the time whilst travelling) and Austin had some diahorrea on monday evening.

Before we went away we started a new bag of food which is lamb flavour and he doesn't really like it.

So when we came back we put him on another bag of turkey flavour (same make) which he likes more.

He had a little of it monday evening and then had a bad bottom before bedtime.

Yesterday he was at my mum's and he was his usual self, maybe slept a bit more, but we did a lot while we were away.

He ate his food, but not all of it and again had diahorrea later yesterday evening.

Took him for a walk early this morning and he was running around like nothing wrong (small diahorrea poo) but when we got home he had some breakfast and then wasn't really interested in anything. He stayed on his bed while hubby hung the washing out, normally he would follow to see what's going on.

So I think he maybe just couldn't cope with the hot weather. He is home today on his own so is in the front of the house where it is really cool.

I'm thinking of putting him on nature diet anyway, but was going to give him some chicken and rice tonight and for a couple of days to see if that clears him up.

If he's still the same tomorrow then I'll take him to the vet, what do you guys think?

How is Austin today?I think your doing the right thing putting him on chicken +rice, but i would get him checked out with the vet to be on the safe side.

I posted this today daledogs so my first post is how he is today.

I'll see how he is at lunch and after having the chicken and rice tonight and then see if he improves tomorrow.

Hope he's feeling better soon too - I would miss out a meal if he's still got the trots, helps to settle tha system down.

We haven't had any new pics of the handsome young man lately :- "

Thankyou.

Hubby is going home at lunch to let him out and see how he is.

I will tell him not to give him lunch.

Then he can have chicken and rice for tea.

I've got some pictures of him from the weekend in the new forest. I'll try and get them up here soon!

Hope Austin is feeling better soon :huggles: , looking forard to seing some updated pics of him

(ps. Did you know that Austin's Dam and Beau's (owned by Dawn (Daledogs)) Sire are littermates....that makes them cousins!!!!)

gypsy had a jippy tum last week, didnt give her anything at all that day and waited to see if it was better the day after............then gave her some chicken & rice and she was fine

hope Austin gets better soon :huggles: :luck:

Hubby went home for lunch and apparently Austin is back to his usual self.

As I was speaking to him on the phone austin was barking and rolling around on the floor. Clawing at my carpet no doubt

I'll still give him the chicken and rice and am going to take the opportunity to change him over to the nature diet when he comes off the chicken and rice.

fingers crossed he is better.

Also I think he could have been over tired. He had 3 busy days while we were away and didn't get much chance to snooze during the day which is what he would do when we are home.

Good new for Austin... :huggles: :luck:

sometimes the heat can make them like this too...hope hes back to normal soon.

Here is Beau

So glad Austin feeling alot better :huggles: :huggles:

Beau is gorgeous

Austin was much better last night, running and jumping all over the place.

Hubby fed him some of the chicken and rice and he wolfed it down.

Then a couple of hours later he was whining a lot and hanging around the kitchen so I gave him some more and he settled.

Poor boy must have been starving having missed his lunch!

Thank you for all your wishes.

Glad to hear that Austin is pretty much back to normal

It's always worrying if they're a little off colour - I worry if mine so much as sleep longer than normal (w00t) :sweating:
