Sloughi

Nice looking dog there, what's his pedigree?
DuGUERRIER comes up a lot , ring any bells ? Got any pics of yours to put up maybe ? please :)

Yes I know the Cité du Guerrier kennel. I hope you were told the ancestry of some of the dogs and breeds that may be in your pedigree depending on which litter your boy is from, it may not matter to you if your dog is for showing and lure coursing only (and I'd love to hear how you get on with that, these dogs have some stamina!!).

You have seen my beautiful Oscar :) Now I have 3 Lurchers. Jake who is an 8 year old brindle lad, who by the looks of him is a Greyhound x Whippet (I adopted him when he was 1).

Then there is Edie, she is probably around 4 years old, Whippet x Saluki I think, she has been with me 18 months

And finally Ferris who is 10 months old and is a Sloughi x Lurcher (Lurcher being a bit of everything I think!)

Just realised I shouldnt have hijacked your thread maybe with my photos, I may put up some others in another thread :) I will look out for your lovely boy, hope you can get some good shots of him lure coursing. My friend has just got a lure machine and we had our Lurchers and Salukis going nuts for it. That is apart from Ferris and his sister, they seem to have no interest in chasing anything other than each other

LOL! No, not a troll. If I was though I'd be quite an elaborate one to have set up a website for that purpose ;) Someone on this forum just pointed out the questions about the fate of the Kamet dogs so thought I'd join to let them know. I have a very big interest in the breed but the Kamet dogs especially given my Oscar was one of those dogs, it has been really good to talk to people who knew the dogs in the past and also getting to know the rescue dogs now they are in their new homes :) I am interested in all things Sloughi :D

Gorgeous dog! A friend of mine has several sloughis, it's another sighthound breed I love. I went to a talk and judging seminar a few years back for sloughis and azawakhs - it was really interesting :) I passed the judging course for them :D
ha ha i was just about to write the exact same thing, unless they have this seminar every year, i must have been to the same one! I think both breeds are totally stunning, i went to the seminar mainly to meet an Azawakh, really wanted one but felt there was not enough known about the breed as my son was very young at the time....hopefully one day i will become an owner, either breed would be just fine!! ;) ;)
