Roscoe likes skirting boards and Grover likes the underneath of the sofa where the velcro cover attaches to the wood frame! I bought 'pet behave training spray' from Wilkinsons thinking it's cheap it probably won't work - but it does!! It smells of citrus so isn't nasty but they really don't go back.

They'll move along to the next bit that you missed with the spray  and have another chomp but as long as you squirt this stuff, they'll stay off. Only needs a little bit so you won't have to soak your walls or anything!

My house looks a wreck because I've had to move everything out of reach and cover the sofa and chair in cheap throws! I believe this phase lasts for about ten years :- "

ooh BTW the 'cheap throws' are ASDA fleeces (for people) that are an astonishing 1.77. I bought 4 and the dogs use them for 'making nests' on the floor, I use them in their bed and over the crate to keep drafts outs, and we cover the sofa in them. Amazing value considering ASDA dog fleece blankets are 6 quid  Better they chew those than my cushions and sofa.

Oh Zana :(

You are blotting your copybook, little lady (w00t)

Whenever Jinny chewed something she shouldn't have (as a puppy)

I removed it from her mouth saying "mine" and gave her a

chew or a toy to have a go at instead. It was a 24/7 job, but

she has grown up without doing any damage at all to anything  o:)

Unfortunately, I can't say the same for Irie, who has bitten the artex

off the walls, chewed the skirting board and is always the one most likely

to cause untold damage to anything that is left in his path

Oh no ann, i am reading this thinking OMG!!!! I am picking Fynn up on sunday!!!! lol

We have a Anti-chew spray from PAH, it worked for tea who chewed EVERYTHING!!!!

Good Luck Ann,xx

i thought hot mustard that worked to stop my old boy stealing as a youngster but may stain your wall would look as if she'd pee'd up it

We don't have a dado rail but Poppy chews our hearth by the fire, stone tiles and concrete...yum  (w00t) They really will chew anything!!

My advise before would have ben give her a rawhide to chew instead but that won't work, dado rails and hearths are far tastier!!

 purdey chews walls! we have a rather wide, though only about an inch and a half deep, crater in the kitchen...thought i was the only one with a dog for an appetite for construction materials and houses (w00t)

She chews the wall in the kitchen, but i can live with

that  Its the Dado thing that bothers me :*

Oh, Sidney used to do that but by standing on the kitchen table..

I went and got a bottle of that anti chew nail stuff and painted the dado with that... he didn't do it again...

:sweating:
