Thank you Karen :) The puppies are now in Finland but not all of them will stay in Finland :- "

Hi everyone and thanks so much for the warm welcome! :D :D

Paula it would be lovely to see you at the races, but like Jax said me and Eppu are located in Finland :( But you never know... my sister lives in London so maybe once Eppu is older we could perhaps come for a visit to England (I've lived there 5 years myself) :)

Tomorrow is Friday and I will be picking up Eppu after work  I am soooo excited! Also a bit nervous, but I am sure everything will be fine :)

I thought I'd include a few casual shots for you to enjoy (w00t)

Once I've had my 1 week "maternity/puppy" leave I will be back to work and I will keep you posted on latest in Eppu's life :) :)

The puppies are now 7 weeks old. All puppies have found good homes, and the first one has now moved to his new home.

This is the last set of photos I'll post in this thread (because they are now starting to leave to their own homes), taken at 7 weeks. Again, some stand better than others :)

Hard to believe they are leaving home already :huggles: ! That must be sad for you.

But then again, it is nice to wake up in the morning and not having to clean up the puppy pen, knee deep in poo.

Lida

Congratulations Laila

Since they were born I always thought they were lovely

For a 1st litter it's a great litter

What super puppies. I just love Armani Suite, and Miss Dior of the girls. Good luck with them.

Yes, I feel happy and sad at the same time: happy that all have found good homes, and sad to see them go away.

Umm, just for the precision :b , actually this is my third litter. The previous litters were:

Dusilla B -litter, in 1978, (Ch Solvikens Sirius x Ch Black Pearl's Silversatin)

Dusilla D -litter, in 1979, (Int Nord Ch Dondelayo Jonty - Ch Black Pearl's Sheila)

but they were such a long time ago that I felt like a novice again in many ways :)

Here's Ch Dusilla Desert Sheikh from the D-litter:

He certainly could have held his own against today's dogs. Both of my first whippets had Dondelay Jonty in their pedigrees (practically all Norwegian whippets of the day did, as you probably know). Looking at the picture of Desert Sheik just reminds me what a pity it is that those lines seem to have been lost.

Real quality pups , Perhaps because they were the `A `litter , it was thought they were your first .

After eight

Thank you bardmand :)

Yes, Dondelayo Jonty was a great and quite a popular sire. I'm sorry to hear that his lines have almost been lost :( . But luckily the lines behind him (Dondelayo Mosaic [Ch. Samarkand's Greenbrae Tarragon x Dondelayo Nicola] x Glenbervie White Rose [Ch. Dondelayo Buckaroo x Whitebridge of Glenbervie]) can be found (I think) also in many of today's whippets  .

Yes, you are right, it's logical to name the first litter an A-litter :) .

I named the third litter an A-litter because this is a new start after a long break in breeding :) .
