Heinz spotted dick was it? :unsure: I like the treacle sponge, or chocolate sponge - with custard, but it has to be cold :thumbsup:

Do you remember when you had to steam these things for ever? Then risk your life puncturing a hole in the tin :unsure: Much easier in the ding nowadays :teehee:

not that keen on tinned stuff anyways best to bake it yourself tastes much better.

or if you have a granny who likes to bake put in your order,

upside down cake, yogurt loaf, chocolate cake, triffle, apple crumble,

and she drops it of and then washes your dishes, magic :thumbsup:

Reminds me of my granny - she used to have her 'lady' friends around for a 'friendly' game of cards and wow the afternoon-tea trolley used to be groaning under the load of home made goodies - lemon sponge, coconut ice, butterfly cakes, date loaf, aspargus rolls, ribbon sandwiches - all utterly yummy. I have some of her recipes - written in lovely spidery writing that you can hardly read
